This photo represents why I love to shoot weddings. Whenever I show anyone this photo, I ask them, “Do you think this bride is a bridezilla?” Every person I’ve ever asked has said, “No.” It’s amazing to me what you can tell from a photograph! You can FEEL the bride’s relaxed attitude.
This photo was taken in a room at the Ritz Carlton in Boston. The bride, groom, and bridal party were relaxing between the ceremony and the reception as there was a bit of a gap. The bride’s shoes are a big deal on the wedding day, so I’m always on the lookout for a photo of them. The bride kicked off her shoes as she was talking and I saw the opportunity. Not your standard “wedding shoe photo” but that’s what I’m after. A photo that reveals the bride and groom, and what the wedding day was like, rather than the standard “expected” photo.
